Shipping and Handling Charges
Separate charges for shipping will be shown on Atlanta Microscope's invoice(s). Atlanta Microscope Charges FedEx "Standard Ground Rate" or UPS Ground, unless another shipping method is requested by the customer. A reasonable handling fee is applied to all orders to cover the cost of packing materials and labor. These fees will be detailed on the invoice as a separate line item prior to final checkout.
Free Shipping
Shipping will be charged under the following circumstances:
  • You do not have a qualifying product indicated by our Free Shipping notice in your shopping cart
  • You select a shipping method other than FedEx Ground
  • You enter a shipping zip code outside the contiguous USA
  • Your order exceeds 40lbs total weight - It will still ship free if the order ships in unit cartons
  • Google checkout sometimes uses a default flat rate on items qualifying for free shipping - this will be refunded when we process the order.
Taxes
Unless Customer mails or faxes (770-998-0441) a valid tax exemption certificate applicable to the product ship-to location prior to Atlanta Microscope's acceptance of the order, Customers shipments into Georgia will be charged Georgia State Sales Tax. A separate charge for taxes will be shown on Atlanta Microscope's invoice.
Return Policies
Atlanta Microscope stands behind the quality of all our products. Products that are purchased directly from Atlanta Microscope by a Customer may be returned within 30 days from date of invoice. The product must be in new and unused condition and in the original packaging. A 20% Restocking fee will be charged to your credit card, unless Atlanta Microscope determines that the return is due to our error, in which case we will assume all restocking and return shipping charges. For all returns please contact our Customer Service Department at (770) 998-2384. We will issue a return authorization number prior to your shipping the product back. The product must be safely packed for return shipping with the return authorization number prominently written on the outside of the box. Atlanta Microscope will not accept any returns on electrical type replacement parts (this includes all bulbs). Sales of electrical type parts are final.
AMS microscope objectives can be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund not including shipping charges. The objective(s) must be in new and unused condition and in the original packaging. If the objective shows signs of ware or usage, a 20% restocking fee will be charged to your credit card. To return an objective, an RMA must be issued to receive the full credit amount. To obtain an RMA, email us at info@atlantamicroscope.com or call (770)998-2384.
Atlanta Microscope offers a 5 day return policy on microscopes we sell. Microscope(s) must be returned with all parts and packaging and must be RECEIVED IN NEW (ORIGINAL AND RESALEABLE) CONDITION. Shipping charges are non-refundable, no exceptions. To return a microscope, an RMA number is required. No returns will be accepted without an RMA number. To obtain an RMA number, contact Atlanta Microscope at info@atlantamicroscope.com or call 770-998-2384. The RMA number must be clearly and prominently displayed on the exterior of the shipping carton. Failure to comply with this policy will result in a restocking fee based on the condition of the returned product.
Shipping Damage
When you receive a damaged package, please report this to our Customer Service Department within 2 business days and we will advise you how to proceed. Hold all containers and packing material, since FedEx/UPS claims cannot be made without these original cartons.
